I have been using Skype for a long time and am wondering why it keeps coming up in posts with people saying they are having difficulty with setting it up. It's really not that hard. Just buy yourself a Logitech mike that uses just one cord connected to any of the USB serial ports on your PC or Laptop.

Forget about the headset mike/earphone and just use your regular speakers

It was about two years ago I think, that I called Wonder Wendy in Virginia from New Zealand. Great connecion, clear as a bell and free.

Skype is probably one of the easiest free phone or WebCam software to use. Simple to install, easy to set the options up and bingo your done. Of course you have to create and account but that is equally as easy. I prefer it over AOL, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ you name it Skype its by far the easiest and the least clutter free from ADS, and JUNK attachments.

I used it constantly when my Niece was in China for the Olympics this year. Also used to communicate with my Sister when she was there as well saved a ton of money by Skyping and using a webcam.
