Skippy the bush kangaroo really cheesed me off, the hoppy tutting bugger.
"What's that you say skippy, there's someone fallen down the mineshaft?"
How did that kid understand kangaroo language?

And on that topic... why do our cousins across-the-pond say period, instead of full stop?

This isn't really relevant, but the title made me think of it! :wah:
Last weekend we went to a German market. We'd only a few more chalets to look at when it started to pour heavily. Hubby, wanting to get out of the rain, saw that the last few chalets contained some religious icons and said "Lets go, the last chalets are just about Jesus" Me (deafo!) said "Cheeses? I like cheeses!" :wah:
You probably had to be there, but it made me laugh! :yh_rotfl

Lol Hope! I think we have our wires crossed here! :wah:
Apart from the time of the month, don't Americans use the word period at the end of a sentence to mean full stop or a gap or space or something. So you might say "Don't do that. Period." Which I would take to mean "Don't do that." with a full stop at the end.
Duh. I'm just confused now. *scratches head* I know I've heard it said on TV, just don't really know what it means.

Glad it made you chuckle, my fuzzy friend. :wah:
It certainly had me laughing out loud when I realised what he meant! :yh_rotfl
I think the problem was that we went to my friends medieval wedding the weekend before and instead of having a wedding cake she had a cheese cake. Made of cheese! It was really yummy, especially the yarg cheese, which I'd never tried before. So I think I had Cheeses on the brain! :yh_rotfl
