A Prayer for gmc

I call upon all forum garden members here today.
we come nearer and nearer to that special Christmas time when we are surrounded by the one's we love in the comfort of our homes.
We will soon be sitting at our tables giving thanks for all that we have.
Can i ask you to say an extra prayer this year for one in need?
A prayer for gmc who wanders alone in search of a great leader.
America has Obama
Britain has Gordon Brown
We are truely blessed.
But spare a thought this Christmas for gmc who's hopes of a great leader were cruelly dashed when the man he thought was his saviour, 'Alex Salmond' (yes, i know your all saying who), was trounced into a humiliating defeat on his own turf in Scotland by Gordon Brown.
Where did it all go wrong i hear you cry.
Well, it all began once upon a time when a deluded fool called 'Alex Salmond' dreamt of an Independant Scotland. Yes, i know your all thinking FOOL, but be kind please.
He dreamt of an Independent Scotland where no longer would they have to bow and scrape to the great men of Westminster. A land totally divided from the rest of the UK and away from that nasty Gordon Brown.
They dreamt of sending back the missiles that America based there and keeping all the oil becoming independantly wealthy.
As they gazed across the heather, tossing their cabers and fiddling with their sporrans, the bearded folk grew more and more excited at the thought of their own great leader.
They trusted the man 'Alex Salmond', they put their faith in this man believing that only he had the power to beat the men of Westminster.
In a daring plot to over-throw the British Government, they called a By-Election in Glenrothes. So confident of victory were they that the cheering bothered sheep in Wales.
Sadly, the dream of a 'Scottish national Party' and Independence was merely that... a dream.
For they under-estimated the Great Gordon who cunningly decided to brave the scots and stand for election his very self in the Glenrothes by-election on 'The Scottish National Party's' own turf.
Howls of derision echo'ed across the land. The Scots laughed loudly and fearlessly into their bootleg whisky.
Sadly, the dreams were dashed. Their howls of derision mocked so cruelly in their faces.
The Great Gordon went to the people of Fife and chanted just three words. The three words that will be set in the future history books of our children. Three words that sent the terror and sweat into the people of Fife.
Those three small words were.... HOME CARE POLICY.
They recoiled in horror, hid behind their doors, barracaded the windows as the Great Gordon had struck the fear of god into those noble celtic people.
The rest is history folks. The Great Gordon Brown did take the Glenrothes By-Election not just by a margin but a humiliating trouncing.
The Tory's who dreamt of maybe collecting a few crumbs from the table, returned back to Westminster defeated and suicidal after losing their deposit. Cameron called off his battle cry to Gordon Brown to call a general Election and The Scots lost their dream.
Now, poor gmc is leaderless. He wanders lonely as a daffodil among the Scottish heather only reflecting on what might have been.
So folks, please, when you give thanks for all that you have this Christmas.. Think of gmc.... lonely and leaderless.
I thank you.
