I am a fairly intelligent person
I understand the Labour Party Manifesto and can read and write, however, can any-one actually tell me where my money has gone?? As i don't understand it, my bank is baffled and my Telephone company is baffled also.
For an eternity, my monthly payent to British Telecom for my landline phone and Broadband was £69 a month.
This is paid by direct debit through my bank each month.
Some months back, we recieved a whopping grat pnone bill that we were expecting.
B.T. phoned us and said we had two options. We could either have our monthly payments increased to £129 or make a one off payment of £204.
Not wanting to be bothered with changing direct debits, I made a transfer from my bank to B.T. for the £204 on line.
When i checked my account this week, i saw B.T. had taken not £69 but £129.
I phoned to ask them what they were up to. After being passed around Delhi in India for an hour, i finally got to speak to a British person some-where in the Uk.
They checked it out and agreed they had recieved my payment of £204 on line.
They then told me i had cancelled it. After an exchange of 'Are you havin a laugh mate'? type conversation, they agreed that we would have no reason to cancell the payment but more importantly, if we cancelled it, why was the £204 not in my bank account.?
Next conversation was with my bank who agreed that a payment for the £204 had been transfered from my account on that date and was not still in my account.
The question is now.......... B.T. does not have this £204 and it is not in my bank account.
So who the bloody hell has got my money???????
