WOW Kudos to the BBC for the most fantastic series of Video's around.

We bought Jr Minks "THE BBC NATURAL HISTORY COLLECTION". The videography in these is truly breath taking. This guys review was pretty accurate by my standards.

It's just down the road from here, the BBC's Natural History unit. They're one of the things Bristol's quite pleased with itself about, they do a wonderful job.

I'm with you Odie. I love nature progs but just can not bear the shark getting the seal pup or the lion getting the gazelle.

I know it's the food chain but i just hate to see it.

Beautiful photography though.

Now BBC, if you'd just sack Johnathon Ross for me, i might be happy to pay for my licence.

Aw you guys are cute... I agree with the harsh parts of Nature indeed and there are a few of them in the series but I justified them with a stern "but the shark/nasty Chimp/tiger etc have to survive too.

There were 2 very sad parts that got me going one was during the great migration of .... Africa (I think) there was a sand storm and one baby elephant lost his way and followed mothers scent... the wrong way.

The other one was when the desperate polar bear attacked the sea lion and was so severely injured it could not walk, therefor not hunt and was filmed just lying down and giving in.

It is Nature, she is harsh I almost cried and those stick with me. But then you watch the amazing feat of a brand new sugar cube size Kangaroo as it climes up to it's mothers pouch. Or a wildibeast calf skitter around right after birth and within hours is able to run like the wind. Or the flight of the Gazelle.

Then there are the earth wonders like the Lechuguilla Cave's in New Mexico, the floods of Africa and new birth WOW!

Chonsi they would be awesome for your science lessons.

I would highly reccomend these to all of you.

Oh Spot you bet you all should be proud.

And David Attenborough is fabulous.

I agree with everything you said except the part about the wildibeast.

Ive never been able to get emotional about them.

Im not very attached to the wart hog either.

Call me shallow but they dont even try to look good.

I'm tempted to ask whether you've tried eating one.

It's that sort of day.

Nomad: How do you know warthogs haven't tried to look good? Imagine a warthog with lipstick. It's worse than a warthog without. I reckon warthogs tried, realised it wasn't going to work, and very sensibly stopped.
