Joe Kennedy Needs Oil Change

Rep Joe P Kennedy II must be depressed these days, this winter he will not get to run his ads thanking Venezuela owned Citgo for donating oil to people in the Northeast. Last year Citgo donated $100 million in oil; falling oil process and the economic situation (translate that to mean Chavez needs the cash to pay for other political objectives) have done in the deal. Don’t get me wrong, helping people who need low cost or cheap heating oil is not a bad thing, but aiding and abetting a dictator who would like nothing more than to see the US crash and burn is. Shame on a member of the US Congress who allows himself to be used as the pawn of a foreign government.

Does this include all dictators or only lefty ones and are you also including foreign pawns of the American gov who should be ashamed as well? The world is not all admiring of the US. Chavez is no different than any politician in the world left, right, American, or no- American.

I suspect Chavez is quite a bit different than many other politicians in the world.
On the other hand, he is smart in trying to enhance his own position while demeaning the US, that's fair. What is not fair is a member of the US government helping him regardless of the cause. Clinton and others are not much better as it turns out various governments have been helping him and others fund libraries, no conflict of interest there.
