About USAService.org - USA Service

I love this. How often have you wanted to make a change in the world, your community, maybe just helping someone in your own neighborhood.

This plan of action is already in effect. Its a resource for citizens all over the country to get involved. I was watching CNN tonight and children and young adults are excited and eager to help. They have a new role model. For young black men its often sports figures or rap stars, that is changing. Theyre being summoned to a higher purpose and theyre answering that call all over America.

One young man said we voted this President in and now we want to help him succeed.

That is a stunning statement and it fills me with hope.

This is an opportunity for us to do, to actually effect the change and not wait around for someone to hold our hands and make changes for us.

This kind of involvement transcends politicking, it reaches beyond party division.

If people become involved its not merely a campaign slogan anymore, its not a panacea, it becomes a real and viable outlet for us to do good.

Maybe some of you are already involved and if you are good on you. Many arent though. Opportunities include blood drives, charity events, helping out at shelters, adult education...the list will grow.

Its not going to fix all of our problems and lets face it, the Rush Limbaughs of the world will mock this idea and wish it death. Only half the country voted for Obama and if half of that half gets involved in something outside of their own comfort zone thats an amazing feat.

Im enthusiastic and feeling pretty positive about the future.

Anything that gets people off dead center is a good thing.

When people take ownership of something, it is theirs. What an exciting prospect. Soon they will learn that what they give actually does more for them than what they are doing for others.

Yes, this is a good idea. Reagan first proposed this during his term, I do not think it caught on then. (I remember it, because I joined a specific organization which I still do volunteer work today) Maybe this time people will listen, it's about time.

Americans are formidable when they put their mind to doing something. We are the worlds optimists. We are capable of doing so much good. Even though we stumble from time to time. We've done it before, and we can do it again. I believe in us.

The kids inaugural last night on disney was real strong on pushing kids and their parents to get involved and become part of the solution..

even the jonas brothers have a phone text effort that kids can sign up for... it sends lists of charitable organizations in the kids area that can use some volunteers..:-6
