Just off to it. Big miracle since he headbutted a train the Christmas before last, and he'll take his vows standing up under his own power, if a bit incoherently.

:-6:-6:-6

Big thing is - he's alive to do it! Yaaay!:)

....just filling in time 'til the taxi + mate arrive.

Yep. He's a lucky guy and Jan's a lucky lass. Been living together for 25 years or so. Amazing what it takes to focus the mind sometimes.

With most people a kick in the pants will do it, but then Scotty is, well, Scottish.:sneaky:

:-6:-6hope all goes well for them, lucky man to survive a fight with a train - perhaps next time he'll pick on something smaller, like a reliant robin - they're easy to push over!:wah:

I remember previous mentions. Yes, he's as lucky as it gets and congratulations are due.

Damn good wedding that was. They took their vows sitting down, with the Jan repeating hers in the traditional way, and the vicar asking Scotty if he agreed to, for example have and hold Jan, saying the vow for him, and Scotty replying, "Yes".

In an odd way, because the service had to be non-traditional, the beauty and solemnity of the marriage ceremony struck me, and I suspect all of us, afresh. Pehaps it was the fact that the occasion itself was something of a miracle. I have rarely been so moved by a single event.:-6
