Dunno how that happened... Thank you Odie and Carolly. Don:t think I can actually bung a steak on the barbie here, but I:ll raise a glass of sake with my sashimi..

Sayonara for the moment!!

And if there are still any fellow Aussies in FG - Happy Day, Cobbers!!! Oz Rox!!

Thanks Odie,

There were business house relays.

Duck races,egg & spoon races,three legged races,free sausage sizzle,free bacon & eggs for breakfast.

A coffee shop set up,that was my favourite.

The local cadets raised the Australian flag, they all did a great job.

We all sang Avance Australia Fair, and felt proud as we did that as a family.

We are very lucky we live in freedom & can have days like this.

Then more relays,food, races, etc.

It was a very hot day so good planning to have this day at the local pool.

I was proud of our small community & all the wonderful people who work hard to make it the great place that it is.:-6:-6

Thanks Odie. And Happy yesterday MrsK and KayleneAussie. It:s pelting snow here - very pretty and feels a million miles from Sydney beaches. I:m ready to hit some ski slopes today in Hakuba (west of Tokyo) for a couple of days decadent non work type recreation. Did see a few Aussies yesterday with those flag tatoos on their faces. Most of the foreigners I:ve seen here so far - gaijin - live here. Quite a few Americans, Brits and Aussies too.. or live somewhere else in Asia. It:s a very different take of life. A pool of these expats who are still Brits or Americans or Aussies etc would be a fascinating addition to FG,.. grin.. :sneaky: Take care everyone and party on!!!
