These days the European Union needs America about as much as it needs typhoid. You have trouble enough getting your domestic situation fixed without voluntarily walking into a quagmire you inherited. Yankee go home, take your troops and your planes back where they came from and try to do better in future. To whatever extent there may be terrorism, your proposed cure is far worse than the disease. Fanning the flames is not what we need. Depart whence you came, we might send you aid in a year or two the way things are headed.
