Dear Mr. President

Dear Mr. President:

I am looking for a job. I am fully qualified for any position you may have available, I pay my taxes, and on time may I point out.

In fact, I have no choice but to pay because virtually all my taxes are taken from my paycheck and the small portion that is not is reported to the government.

I have no “household help” so that pesky problem of not paying their social security taxes is not an issue either.

I never worked in government previously and as you well know that means I have not made a small fortune from my previous government connections as I have never worked as a lobbyist. See, I am the perfect candidate.

I didn’t vote for you, but at this point I suspect my flawless tax record may be more important.

What’s that you say, there is an opening for Ambassador to Somalia? Didn’t you hear me, I paid my taxes. ;) I have a better idea. Remember you said you were going to eliminate programs that didn’t work (to offset the earmarks being jammed into the stimulus package)? I’m your man.

Even if you can’t use my services, I have one small suggestion. You may want to get that “change” message out to the troops in your administration.

Being President is harder than it looked on the campaign trail I suspect, hang in there Barack, it only gets worse. But look on the bright side, regardless of how many hours you work, how much stress you are under, how many family events you miss there is no one who is going to limit your pay just because your organization accepted government bail out money. Besides, as soon as you are out of office there is a fortune waiting for you, just ask Bill.

Your Friend and Job Applicant
