Officers were called to the site in Slough, Berkshire, after staff discovered the stowaways in the back of a 37-tonne tanker.

It had been delivering chocolate ingredients to the confectionery firm which produces bars such as Mars, Snickers and Twix.

The 15 men, who were all aged between 20 and 40, were examined by ambulance staff before being arrested, Thames Valley Police said.

They were were "physically fine", a spokesman said.

Three other men on a second lorry which was not going to the factory were also detained.

A spokesman for the UK Border Agency confirmed that 18 men in total were arrested and those found at the Mars site were "covered in cocoa powder".

A Mars spokesperson said: "We can confirm that a number of people were found hiding in a tanker operated by a third party haulier that had arrived at our factory in Slough to deliver raw materials.

"We immediately informed the Thames Valley police who are now investigating the matter.

"In view of the police involvement, you will understand that we cannot comment further."

Well the thought of them covered in cocoa powder is to me.

Just think, if there was some sponges, jelly, custard and cream...... it'd be a trifle of a matter.

Yuk, I hope the company throws away the coco in the tanker. It must have been bloody uncomfortable for those guys in there. The coco would have gotten up their noses and they must have been choking and sneezing something terrible. It would be just like a big corporation to put the tanker to the side for 6 months or so and use it when everything has died down.

How come it doesn't state where the stowaways are from?

This is another illustration of how desperate some illegal immigrants can be to enter a country without proper documentation. What country were they from?

what on earth have they done to you that you would make them play for manc united :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl:yh_rotflWell ok, i apologise but i just didn't want them going to Aston Villa as then we would have had all sorts of problems with galbally.

I mentioned Sir Trevor McDonald as in this country Odie, he is called Mc Doughnut and i thought they went will together. Anyway, his hair latley, looks like he was in that container with them but in the icing sugar department.

The tanker they were in looks a lethal environment, I'm surprised they all survived the experience. The gangs which run the people-smuggling routes are the ones who need tracking down and stopping, they seem unconcerned about the dangers.

The people in transit were from the Middle East. Perhaps the cocoa's destined to become Turkish Delight.

For the amount of bodies arriving over the borders in Europe due to this trafficking I'm surprised these persons survived considering the weather you guys are having.

and yes the contents of the trucks will have to be disposed of.

Poors Barstards. :(
