If there was just one person dead or alive we could say sorry to and never have or did for certain reasons who would that person be and why?

I would tell my Grandmother "Ma" that I am sorry that I was not more involved with her after my Grandfather passed on.
I was too young to understand the loneliness of being parted from a partner you had been with more than 50 years and my mother was not a good role model for me in this area.

I'm sorry, I didn't say why, I thought people generally knew. He was an American hanged by the British for a murder which, had DNA techniques been available at the time, his defence team could have demonstrated hadn't occurred. He went to the gallows an innocent man as far as I can see.

I agree with you Kaz. I have been called stubborn before but if i do believe i'm in the wrong, then i will apologise sincerely asap. If i don't believe i'm in the wrong, then i don't. Some people apologise too much to be frank and i've known people make an apology and the moment they have walked away, still insist they are right. I like people who have the courage to stand by their convictions. I won't kow tow to any-one just to feed their ego. If i know i was wrong, i will say so. If that makes me stubborn or arrogant, then, tough, I'm not apologising. :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

Have you any idea how furious the Americans would be if the UK Government admitted we'd hung an innocent US citizen?

Agreed but considering much circumstantial evidence points to 'Jack The Ripper' being one 'Francis Tumblety' an American Quack, i think that makes us even.

Spot on........ followed by 'Look, I'm sorry, I'm not being funny, BUT :yh_rotfl
There are times we all offend some-one without realising it and if i'm made aware that i have un-intentionally offended some-one, then i will say so. Some-times you get people who apologise for everything and anything but then expect you to be the same.
As my lawyer told me....... I am legally permitted to have an opinion. :yh_rotfl

Yesh..... it's the excuse for some-one to insult you. When you rip their their heads off, they say 'Well i did say i wasn't being funny' as if that makes it ok.
You just reminded me. My sis has just had a whopper of baby and she was in labour for two days. I went in, looked at my new neice and said 'oh wow she's gorgeous'... looked at my sis and said 'you look like ***** though'. I was only being honest :wah:

I would say sorry to my dad's mom for never really getting to know her. Thank gawd, we have tapes of her outlining her life from the age of 6 to 93. I would also ask her forgiveness for taking some cash from her, I was young & stupid.:-1

I would like to say I am sorry to my Dad for not being there on the day he passed away because I never got to say "I love you and thank you for being my Dad" for the last time. Maybe a few others but not sure I am really sorry. I usually say what I mean and mean what I say even though it may hurt feelings at times. I try and not say things in anger because those words can never be taken back.

Along-for-the ride----I would apologize to you for my "nomie on the fly swatter" pics that are constantly appearing, but I think you like them.
