Fly Killer

It's Saturday, a cold, windy, nasty, rainy day. I've finished reading a book, nothing good on TV and for some reason there are a lot of flies. Probably seeking warmth from the weather. I did bathe this AM. I really hate flies--can't stand the nasty buggers, so I set out with a vengence to wipe them out. Thus far I have killed 98 flies and have put their remains in a match box which I will later put into the fireplace for their final disposition. I got to wondering if there was such a thing as a "Fly Killing Record", like a Guiness Record for the number of flies killed in a given period. I did a Google Search and could not find any such record so I think I will set out to set one, which I am sure someone else could immediately break. I have two fly swatters, one for each hand, plus a new device like a small tennis raquet that has an electrical charge to a grid. This works quite well for bigger flying insects. You just push a button on the handle and zap, the bug sizzles on the grid. Power is supplied by two batteries. Some people like to play games on their computer on rainy days, me, I like the live action like killing flies. I do hope the weather is better tomorrow as I would rather play golf than kill flies.:)

:wah::wah: You'd hate living with me Lon.

My house is a strictly no kill zone. Even pesky flies and wasps get chased around the room with a glass until we catch the offender and let it back out of the window.

:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl Since I've got a garden, I've gotten used to fruit flies:mad:. I use a combination of bleach & hot pepper to kill them and then have to clean the mess left behind. What do you do about other bugs?

Killing flies is indeed very satisfying.

I must warn you though that once you get the taste for blood its a very fine line between small animals and then ultimately humans.

I'm afraid you are right Nomad. I am already beginning the urge to go after small animals with a taser gun & horrors, I am compiling a list of certain people that I can use a cattle prod on.

Theres no turning back Lon.

Go out and taser yourself a few of your neighbors cats and if its something you think you have a knack for we should talk.

I think I need help. It was just 30 minutes ago that I walked into my neighbors lounge, took my electric paddle and stuck it in the aquarium and eletrocuted 14 guppies and two angel fish. He was shocked but then thanked me profusely because he never liked his wife's fish anyway. Given that kind of support I don't know where it will lead.

This is a updated Fly Count Report-----------It's now Sunday morning, I have disposed of Saturday's flies and have begun a new killing spree. My Fly Kill now stands at 144 flies in 24 hours. I challenge anyone to beat this record. It's a beautiful sunny day today and I only spent one hour in killing flies, so it's off to play a bit of tennis. Tennis anyone?

Ill take you under my wing.

When you have decimated 1000 flies in 1000 different ways you will be ready for further instruction.

Pfft! Haven't been to Australia then? We'd get that many in one swipe with a thong!

(The one you wear on your foot that is! :wah: With the other kind, you'd probably only get 20 or 30 :yh_tong2)
