Does anyone here use fitness DVDs to keep them trim ?

If so which ones ?

I have a couple of Pilates DVDs that I rarely use nowadays but I have recently bought Colleen Nolans Disco workout....I'm still at the 'Warm up' stage :yh_rotfl but it's not bad.

It's quite difficult to find something suitable for an 'over 60' ......

I use:

Yoga DVDs

Tahitian Cardio

Hula Cardio

Belly Dancing Ones-good for the core ;)

Tai Chi

and lots of Tae Kwon Do ones......................

The Tahitian and Hula ones are good to start with-20 minute workouts, I'm 54 and can do them.

I'm 55, I started using them when I was 50. First the yoga one, than tai chi, than different aerobic ones. It's nice to use them when you can't go out to the gym or somewhere.

I got some TKD kicking ones, oh, I can be sneaky once in awhile and throw one into a sparring match....just once, then I get the eye from the master like don't try that again!:wah:

10 Minute Trainer and Turbo Jam are my favorites right now.

(Im hardcore):)

I liked Pilates for Dummies. I gave me a base to continue doing the excercises on my own.

You can find some really good videos on youtube.

(Im hardcore though):)

I liked Pilates for Dummies. It gave me a base to continue doing the excercises I preferred on my own.

I also love my stability ball. The variety of excercises are endless. You can use a fitness ball in place of any equipment because you use your own body weight.

:)You can find some really good videos on youtube. Like this one:

I recently started P90X. It's a real tough workout, but it works very well.

Wow, an old thread! And still an old me! I still have all my old fitness DVD's, and use the Tai Chi 4 times a week, and I have several new yoga ones I enjoy very much.

I'm going to try and find some good pilates ones. I've been taking the class at the y for 4 or 5 weeks now. It was once a week and now i added another night of it.

But I'm really clueless and can't begin to do the over the head junk...lol
