Looks Can be Deceiving!

Theres a man here in our neighborhood, who goes to our church, when he's out during the week he drives a old pickup truck and wears an old stocking hat and a old raggedy pair of coveralls.

He went into one of the local Mercedes places and the people there wouldn't even wait on him!

he left that place and drove to another town to another dealership and purchased a car, paid for it right there on the spot, and told them to call that other place and tell them that he had bought a car!

what they didn't know was that although he dresses like he does, he's very very wealthy, so looks really can be deceiving! :D

When i was a little kid, there was a man who dressed up in the most Bizzare clothing with a straw boater hat very much like a British 1920's seaside postcard type of character. He also had a monocle. He stood on the side of the road every day for hours on end just saluting folk as they drove by. Due to the monocle my brother began to call him the 'German spy' and the name stuck in our family. He was there for years and one day the local papers reported his demise and yep, he was worth millions

so true, never assume.

My hubs works sometimes out on the mainline (where the rich live) and he is forbidden to even walk in the front door. Has to wear those booty things over his boots, etc. the rich folks who hire him never even have to look at him, they get their butler's to take care of it. I showed up one time to get some cash from him, and they treated me the same way:mad:. Jerks.

there are a lot of affluent people around here but you'd never know it. Another thing I love about Texas. :D
