Hullo All!

Just thought i'd say Hi from rainy old Scotland!

I've been reading various posts over the past few days and though it was about time i introduced myself.

I live in Glasgow, work in a call centre (oh joy!) and i have a daughter who is 8 and takes up ALL my spare time! I passed my driving test finally at the fifth attempt last November and got myself a wee vroom vroom and loving this driving lark! :driving: Anything else u wanna know, just ask!

I shall go now and stop waffling, take care x

What is a wee vroom vroom and a driving lark..... ?? Ahhh.. 8-year old.. enjoyher now.. hehehe.. mine is 18 and a good kid, but sometimes I would love to have her be 8 again.. hahahahaha

Anyway.. welcome and debate away.. always a good time here..

For those of you who don't know.........a vroom vroom is a car and driving lark is just driving! hehe :wah:

No it's more like drive on, pause look at the view, move six feet pause, admire the view, move six feet, pause admire the view, try and work out how high the rain is bouncing, move six feet, pause wonder of the train is realy that much more inconvenient move six feet, pause----- tune in to radio 2 listen ti the road report and thank the stars you are not in London where the traffic is really bad

Welcome to the garden, smell the flowers and pluck the weeds. 8 years old huh oh my I barely remember my daughters being so young. And yes as Grey put it... Enjoy her now.

So Call center what kind of call center? Tech support of some sort or 911? Do share.

Directory Enquiries or the old 192 as some of u might know it. The USA's n Canadians amongst u will know me as Directory Assistance!

Since it was changed over, we no longer say 'Directories, which name please?' we have to say nonsense like 'Which name or service please!'

We get asked the most stooooooooooooopid of questions from Mr Joe Public, the best one ever, was one Xmas i was asked how to cook a turkey! :wah:

Bwahh haww haww, had an old roomie who was dir assistance here it is 411 or was 411 maybe still is I dunno. But she said same thing, the got the stoooopidist questions always. Lots of lonely oldies just wanting to chat too. Gawd you gotta have patience for that job, I would fail badly, I can't stand stoopidity.

Usually we check the threads and see what interests us and then put in our two cents worth. If you don't see anything that captures your imagination then you start your own thread and see what happens. There has to be like-minded people out there.

As a child i remember ringing directory enquiries to be put through to 'Busby' he was the BT mascot at the time!!
