Age comes to us all but i refuse to let it come to me.
I have a free consultation on thursday in Clifton, home of the Lesser Spotted Spot to see what they do, how and why. I'm also having some line filler and lip plumping.
Has anyone else had this? And did your face stick when the wind changed?
I don't mind the needles but i'd like to hear if any of you ladies have had this..... come on..... be honest!!!

Good luck with it O, it's something I won't try. But do let us know how you felt during and after.
You are brave.

You are brave. Thanks Minks. I've been promising myself some spoiling for ages. I shall see on thursday at the free consultation what is involved as i've seen some horrendous celebs gone wrong in the magazines especially with the lip filler. I shall tell you all about it. I did check out a few clinics first and this one was reccomended so fingers crossed.

Dear Oscar - think really hard about this. Remember Lesley Ash? Those that matter love you more as you age, wrinkles and all. You could end up looking like something out of a horror movie. Is it genuinely worth the risk?

I've thought about this too. My conclusion was to plump up my lips and fill out my lines with a selection fine foods and fancies. I have been following this procedure for many years now and has had the resut of filling out the lines throughout my whole body and stretching my skin. I fear botox will have little effect.
Seriously, I dont hold with people aging gracefully. The more disgraceful the better. If it makes you smile when you look in the mirror then it cant be no bad thing. I'm sure it will make Mr O smile too ( If I might be so presumptuous )

Go for it, I had some line filler a couple of years ago and have to say, the injections were so blummin painful it made me cry.
It was expensive and did'nt last as long as I'd have liked so not very good value for money.
I think I'd go for the botox if I ever do it again.
See if he'll give you a wee freebie to see how you feel about it.

I've never gone for surgical, it's amazing how much difference I can make with just a bit of powder and lipstick. It has to be the right shade mind or the result can be far too loud.

I'm envious. I'd love to go for some botox. I have this constant frown, as if I'm thinking very hard about something.
yeah, I'm not:wah:
But I have this nice line between my brows.
So go for it and tell us all about it after it's done.

You do get a freebie at the free consultation to give you an idea of the pain but surely nothing is worse than two hours of root canal work?
After the fist session you have to go back every six months and apparently your face swells up first time. .

I went some months without seeing the little ones in my family and was told 'Auntie, you don't look the same any more'. Her mum rolled her eyes and said 'yes, it's called old age dear'. That did it for me. :wah:

Go for it.
I can see anything wrong with wanting to keep yourself looking good.
My SIL has it & she looks great, her lips are a bit over done for my liking, but if she is happy with the end result then who cares what anyone else thinks.
It makes her feel good about herself.
I would have it done if I had the spare $$$.

I would have it done if I had the spare $$$. Thankyou. I'vewanted it for ages. There is a proceedure where they suck the fat out of your thighs and inject that into your lips but i was stuffing a chicken yesterday and it put me off some-what. The one i'm having is some poly filler they put in. Apparently, the injections sting and burn so i will let you ladies know.

I have seen a young child who had a very bad crease in her lip after an accident she has had great sucess with the dermafiller.
She has all her confidence back & you can hardly see the crease at all now.
Bless her:-4:-4
Her mother told me she held a bit of ice on her lip so the needle wouldn't hurt so much.
Hope you are as happy with your results:-6

They went for the Dermafiller and i thought, right, if it smooths out that lot then i'm definately having it. I think it did a better job than the surgical face-lift on her and you don't end up looking like your pig tails are too tight either.

Well even if I could afford it, I wouldn't waste my money. Botox, I believe has to be repeated every year - couldn't be ar$ed to go through all that pain! It is pure vanity! The only people gaining anything by it are the people doing it - and they run around in their Aston Martins, etc. Yep, I'm growing old disgracefully ! My hubby loves me as I am, and also my son. That's all that bothers me. Yep it's pure vanity, but if that is what you want to endure all that pain for, you go for it Mrs. Let's hope you don't get a trout pout, or skin probs afterwards. Good luck with what you decide !

It is highly expensive and no guarantee's how things will turn out!
And your right....the pain....re-doing it, pure vanity is right.

Good luck oscar, I hope you will look cool afterwards. :-6
I guess as I am getting older, I don't think much of those things. A few little wrinkles, no gray hair yet, never used dye because it gets blonde every summer still. I am lucky in some things, now if I can figure out how to not lose weight again, 5 pounds off this week trying to not get sick at TKD practice. I cut to a small dinner and took dramamine for motion sickness, and made it through the running so much better. But I lost weight in the process, will have to eat a little more on the weekend I guess.

Well I have to admit Gill, I am pretty vain. Mr O just does not understand why i pull all my eyebrows out just to draw them back on again. I am very lucky that i do have a husband who loves me what ever i do but i'm still vain. Last night, his friends were telling me i didn't need it and one said 'Your as beautifull as Victoria Beckham'..... That did it for me..... I'm definately having it done. I got my lovely colour brochures in the post today of all the things they do. Did you know you can have eyeliner tattoo-ed on your eyes? I'm not going that far.
