Still Miss you After All These Years

For my dad, for the anniversary of his death, April 3,
I still miss you!
If Tears Could...
If tears could build a stairway
And memories were a lane,
I would walk right up to heaven
To bring you home again.
No farewell words were spoken.
No time to say good-bye.
You were gone before we knew it,
And only God knows why.
My heart still aches in sadness
And secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you,
No one will ever know.

Thank you guys i still miss my dad so much even though it's been over 20 years since i lost him, i get to thinking about things a lot, about all the things he missed that a father should experience in his daughters life, he never saw me graduate from high school, didn't get to walk me down the aisle, but most importantly and i think about this a lot nowadays, i wish he could have lived to see Jacob.
My heart goes out to everyone else here also, who has lost someone dear to them. :-4

yeah i was a big time daddys girl and to lose him as a teenager was something i will probably never get over.

I lost my dad 13yrs ago as of April 27th and I was a total daddy's girl. Now that hubby is gone, my youngest, Jessi (16) has talked a lot about what you've mentioned...the graduating, walking down the isle, her first baby. It really hurts me to see her going thru this and knowing there is nothing I can do to change any of those things. :-1

I lost my dad towards the end of April 11 years ago, the Springtime always makes me think of him, he loved his garden.
Thank you for this post as you have made mme take the time to stop and remember him.

it is soooooo hard. Dad and I used to go fishing at the cottage each year, just him and me.....he taught me everything about fish and how to operate the boat..........great quality times.
6 am and again at 8 pm.......everyday.
