I really hope he gets raked over the coals for all of our sakes.

It's been reported that it's 500 secret service with him and we're picking up the tab.

It's also reported that he's made it clear that he doesn't want to be here and thinks it's all a waste of time (the G20 summit)

He has also upset the cabinet by asking for a private audience with Cameron, the leader of the opposition.

One person who won't take any shyte of him will be the Queen when he has tea with her tomorow. :wah:

Then there is the actual summit. Al-Quaeda suspects have already been arrested and foiled in London. There are thousands of extra police drafted into London because there are to be mass demonstrations with the protesters having already threatened the police with violence. Frankly, I predict a riot.

Will i be lining the streets to give Obama a cheery wave?......... um.......NO :wah:

EH?

You think Bush was popular in Britain?

I am not sure that there is much hostile feeling toward Obama in Britain, he hasn't done anything to earn that (yet). He is certainly a bit more aloof than Clinton about this whole rather strange "Special Relationship" thing, and the British media seem to be taking it a little like a spurned lover on the third date and still no nookie.

Then seeing as his grand-dad was tortured by you guys back in the day, maybe he just ain't so enamoured of the Brits. I am sure that doesn't effect his political judgement about the importance of keeping good diplomatic and economic relations with Britain, and the rest of Europe for that matter.

He may be a lot of things, but stupid isn't one of them, that was the last guy. I am not sure that the public is very hostile to Obama, he is certainly better thought of than the last guy. Anyway, if he wants a nice welcome he can come over to Co Offaly and have a pint with Brian Cowen. :-6

He seems to have offended a certain segment of right wing xenophobic Brits who love US presidents to drone on THE SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP! and spout some guff about WW II and Winston Churchill, bashing the Frogs and the Germans, and all of that.

It seems Obama is a bit more sophisticated than that, and it's annoying them by making them aware of the fact that maybe Britain is not the centre of the universe after all, just another largish country in NW Europe.

Don't worry he will smile and same something charming and they will be all over him, HE CARES HE CARES! SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP IS STILL SPECIAL, BARAK WILL BE BEHIND THE BIKE-SHED WITH GORDON FOLLOWING SUMMIT.

They are a funny the lot the Brits, for them its still roughly 1942 and they are deep in a war with the German Third Reich (also known as the EU) and Chancellor Hitler (or Nicolas Sarkozy as he is now know), but they are easily pleased with a bit of flattery and some baiting of other Europeans.

Really ? Is this you just yanking gmc's chain again because I think the exact opposite is the case. We all breathed a sigh of relief the day Bush cleared his desk. Who's hostile to him, apart from a few tabloid hacks who add 1 plus 1 and get 3 ? This supposed snubbing of Brown when he went to the US makes me laugh when compared to how Bush tickled Blair under the chin and told him to fetch the ball.

"Yo, Blair "

I think Obama has plenty of support here. We're all impatient to see what impact he has during his term(s). He's making all the right noises so far

Are you accussing me of being far right? I'll tell them down at the BNP about you. :p

I am surprised at you.....describing the French as Frogs.....I think you are the one who is xenophobic.

Also, please go back to school.....Hitler was German....Nicolas Sarkozy is French.

Perhaps this is actually just sour grapes galbally? Sorry? Who is your Prime Minister exactly? :wah: Is he going to the summit? Only, I didn't see him queuing for a taxi along with the others last night.

Perhaps it is Obama who is the miffed one here? No red carpet for him, no six gun salute... Gordon Brown just ain't bovvvvered.

Stephen Harper and Kevin Rudd are getting the five star treatment and they are the one's folk are turning up to see this time. Infact, I'm just about to leave to go and give them a cheery smile as they pass on their way.

Me????? Yank gmc's chain??? As if i would :yh_rotfl

Tabloid hacks hostile toward Obama? Noooooooo not down in Fleet Street. They love him :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I will remember to my grave Bush's visit. Him and Blair went to a pub, remember? On the walkabout, Bush went over to a group of school boys aged about 12 yrs old and said 'Hi, I'm the President of the United States'. One small boy replied 'So what?' :yh_rotfl

Well Obama is going to get a great pic of Britain isn't he? Al-Quaeda suspects already arrested and foiled. Protesters threatening the police with violence, mind you that makes a change, it's usually the other way round here. Shops boarded up all ready for the expected riots and tea with the Queen. J'accuse. You are a daily mail reader. as such you read bollocks, talk bollocks and wouldn't know a load of bollocks if somebody hit you around the head with the daily mail.

Actually Hitler was Austrian and he would never have made it in america as a politician cos they think all artists are gay-I mean look at the nazi uniforms.

YouTube - Springtime for Hitler I know and you know that you only found that link cos your kinky. You been looking in the U Tube kinky section again haven't you?

As Daily Mail readers, we under-go intensive training to talk bollocks in order for the bollocks that we talk to be far superior to any bollocks coming from SNP loonie's.

If all artiste's are gay, does that include all the pisse artiste's in Fife? :)
