Hard to believe that 5 years have gone by.. I still talk about FG. What an amazing discovery it was for me. What an amazing experience the meet in England was. What a special time it was. The friends I made, and traveled to meet. Theia and Betty Boop inviting a stranger to visit in Cornwall. Bez being my room mate, outside of London at the B&B. Spot being my personal tour guide through the Tower Of London. Open Mind meeting me at the airport...
Meeting Minx. Where did those days go? How did the time fly by so fast?
Still thinking Ill ever get to the Isle Of White to meet Rapunzel. Or finally meet my first friend here... Abbey? We used to be on here together at 1am laughing and talking............................

Oh Weeder :-4 It was absolutely wonderful to meet you too and I'm also hoping very much to meet you again one day. It was such an incredible day for me, meeting so many wonderful people. People who were virtual strangers when we met in the morning and who were very good friends by the time we left in the evening. I wish we could have spent more than just one day with you all as the rest of your holiday looked so wonderful too.
Don't age me though sweetie.

It was only 3 years ago - 6th May 2006. It's funny, I can barely remember what I had for lunch yesterday (soup - so not memorable anyway! :wah:) yet I remember that whole day so clearly...meeting Minks at the airport, that delightful pub for lunch, Spot giving us some of the history of High Holborn (a piece of Tudor London), Minks grabbing Arnolds bum on the London Eye (I still have the photo's!

) and, of course, who could forget that giant elephant in Trafalgar Square?
It was so lovely to chat with Bez and Betty and Theia (shame that was before the brown cardi incident as we could have had a wonderful discussion about brown cardi's and indeed, any cardi's!

We could have even taken you to M&S. Remember how surprised you were at your 'odd-shaped' martini glass? :wah: We just use ordinary glasses, not the posh cocktail glasses you're used to!

OM was lovely to chat too and Chris84 was a giggle. OM still has that lovely photo of us all in his picture file that Tigger (or as you called him 'Fred' :wah:) took!
Such a lovely, lovely day!
Such wonderful memories!
Big hugs to you Weeder. We'll meet again one day. :yh_hugs :yh_hugs :-4 :-4

The winter flew by, involved with my mother who had a serious surgery, and then complications. I am still involved, as she is staying with me while we prepare an apartment for her. Then landscape season began, and so days are very full and bedtime arrives pretty early.

Aw the memories.
I remember the excitement of talking to Raven online and her telling me to "JUST BOOK THE TRIP" and then we went public with it on FG and it snowballed it was amazing. And Weeder how sweet you were to PM me and ask me if I minded if you joined us. Heck girl I was sooooo thrilled you did.
I boast about that adventure every time I get a chance. People are always amazed I flew across the pond on my own to meet 13 strangers. Little did they know you all were not strangers by any stretch.
Certainly one of the best very very best chapters in my book.
By the way a little known fact about that trip....
We were blessed with meeting Bryn as well, he caught up with us in London during the week after many had gone their own ways, not many people knew that.
The pics of whose hands on whose butt ahahahaha

Those were the days when many of us were using Skype. My son bought me a baby web cam instead of only head phones. One day I'm chatting away to Abbey on Skype from across the room, in my underwear. Not realizing the silly camera is on, until I see my fat torso on the screen, Now Im thinking " Oh my God everyone is going to think Weeder The Degenerate Flasher is coming to England........:wah:

Will I be safe ? Sink estates I eat for breakfast. Its you I'm concerned about. Will I return unscathed and without an invitation to join a fringe political party

I can not dismiss them without the curtesy of hearing them out. That's all i have done so far.

And an exciting time it was too, stalking Jack the Ripper round the back streets of Whitechappel and talking the night away in Raven's court.
I was much saddened that I missed the main party time but weekends are away with the family.
Sad as well that we've lost several of those who attended
and happy and excited that Weeder's back - long may it continue :-6

When times are tough and you dont know where to go...
Think of Forum Garden
Those there will know,
How to cheer you up when you are down...
Force you to smile if your wearing a frown.
Listen to your troubles, share in your joy...
Make you feel special, or suggest adult toys..
Give you a fight, if your in the mood...
Snub you good if your mean or rude.
You can say what you like
Write what you feel.....
Its a special place.. and its very very real.
Corny Huh? It just came to me. I must need a hobby.
Im holding myself up for public ridicule:wah:

Yeah? No, you didn't. Whereabouts is she from? I'm from Shanklin on the south east of the island, my sister is living in West Wight, in Freshwater (where there isn't any!;)) Water actually costs a fortune on the island as it all has to be imported from the mainland! What a bugger, huh?

Weeder I am with you I would love to get back and have another London Gathering.
Yes Bryn it is sad a few of the original gang have gone missing but interestingly most don't seem to far away and poke their heads in at some capacity or another.
I think our longest missing is young Chris...
