I had twins today!

First time since I had bought my fish tank 4 months ago.......two baby fishes!....hidden in the weeds.:sneaky:

what did you expect, that I had twins?:rolleyes::yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

so I grabbed my fish net and put them safely in a container that sits in the tank....so the other fish won't eat them.......:sneaky:

she would have had much more than two.....so someone already had a good feed!:mad:

I continue to search for more..........



they will stay there for 4 months....they will then be the right size to set them free into the tank without being eaten.

Still theres going to be some resentment issues between them. The locked up fishes will be continuously mocked by the others and theyre low self esteem will make them a target.

finally...after 6 months of pregnant fish dying, then the twins died because

I had to keep moving their inside tank around everyday to clean out the tank as at that time there were issues in the tank.

I knew she was pregnant and looked for the babies 2 weeks ago, I saw one that was so very tiny....I have never seen such a tiny wee one....as I watched her, and grabbed my net....another fish swam right by her and just took her in his mouth!:-5:-5

I think the one I caught today, was the only I that survived but I thought that 2 weeks ago when I saw the little one get gobbled up........and kept checking several times a day for more.



It's hard to know exactly when to put a pregnant fish in their own tank...if you put her in to soon, it stresses her out and she dies.



to most they would just say yeah, big deal!:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl



but for me, that's my hobby and I finally have a baby!:-4

Strange how this thread should appear at this time, because I've just heard that a woman had twins on the local train, a few days ago !
