My fridge's "Ice Maker" is all messed up, it only fills up 3 to 4 ice cube slots in the tray!!! Therefore it takes about "5" cycles to make one full tray's worth of ice. So needless to say, "ice" for cold drinks especially down here in the Sunshine state is desperately needed!!!

Anybody else here every have this problem, & knows of a fix to remedy this? Would appreciate your solution.

Just guessing Cars but do they need to be cleaned ? Is there some type of safe fridge cleaner like 3% hydrogen peroxide you could flush through ?

Check to see if there is a block of ice jammed up in the ice maker itself. Also check to see if the temp of the freezer is not too low -18 should be as cold as it needs to be, if it is colder the ice could be to solid and become difficult to crush or break up.

Thanks for your replies, I'll look into doing your suggestions. Will check for "blocked filter" first, that could be "restricting the timed water" going into the tray!

I would check the water supply line first. They use a small line to feed the ice maker. What they call a saddle valve and a very small water line to feed the ice maker. Good luck Car's

Buy a new fridge?

Kidding aside. I don't have an icemaker but I can make icecubes in those little trays which take forever to hook out. So to save all the aggro I buy bags of cubed ice in summer when its hot. A huge bag only costs £1 and I have it delivered with the shopping. It saves a lot of hassle and we have a LOT of icecubes. :-6

While looking for a filter, I noticed what appeared to be a "kink" in the water line, straightened it as best as possible. Problem fixed, thanks all! :)

Id like to know how the kink got there. Kinks dont "just happen"

Could it be the friends you've been having trouble with sabotaging you ?

Do they take turns going to the bathroom and theyre gone for a long time ?

Whens the last time youre wife checked her jewelry ?

The kink bandit must have dropped one along the way! :wah:

Actually, the wife saw me looking/moving the fridge & said: Oh, I just vacuumed behind there last week. I Didn't think of asking her if she did that! (She's a sanitizing freak ya know! Always mopping, cleaning, dusting, polishing, and she's all mine:))
