When I write an email, no longer does the word get highlighted to tell me the word is spelt wrong.



In word, it is the same, when I click on 'check spelling,' it says 'spelling is correct'......which its not.



Does anyone have an idea why I no longer have these features accept for here?

as here, it still highlights words that I have typed wrong?



I was thinking of contacting hotmail as that is my email account, but there is no where to contact them.

I have tried searching for help and tech support for word, nothing comes up about my problem.



I have shut my computer down........and no luck.



hoping someone will know this........its just to weird.

Ha ha ha vista doesn't ecxist anymore . I heard it on the radio today .

I never use spell check because it's the American spelling of words . I always go to a dictionary.

OH okay I don't use the dict that much ..........sue me!:wah:

on me favourites and always refer to that and never use anything else either.

Spelling checkers? Why bother?

Is it spell check or spell Czech ? My spell Czecher doesnt say

Hotmail 1 problem, Word another problem they aren't related. Something happened to stop the functions. It is controlled by the user it doesn't stop on its own. Word isn't controlled by VISTA. Office controls Word, Excel, and whatever other OFFICE APPLICATION have.

To fix Hotmail look HOTMAIL options. Hotmail is a MSN application program strictly online.

To fix word open a blank document or any word document. Got to tools then options then spelling and grammar make sure check spelling is checked. and any other options you may want to happen. You can also select a dictionary.

The only other thought would be that your not an administrator and its limiting your ability to modify and change things.

I never use spell check. Something Spot has pulled me up on a few times :wah:

:wah: So, Odie you are one of those people who have an unsolved problem.......and sleep on it. While you are cutting zzzzzzz's, others post here and debate the issue so you can wake up in the morning fresh as a daisy, sign on here and see if your problem has been solved for you. That's okay.............I'd do the same thing.

I've been typing at work now for years, so I am used to 'not making' mistakes, so I strive to make corrections.

........to me, mistakes just look like someone has been sloppy or really just doesn't care.



even on here when I am posting, spelling errors are highlighted and so easy to fix....and even after posting it, I still will edit it if I find any errors.

I wanted to thank you so much for this info....as it did work in word!

I have no idea how it was unchecked, as I had never been in that category?
