You did this thread Lon. It was about 2 1/2 yrs ago.

You really need to find a stress reliever like carving coconuts into little Star Trek figures and selling them at the flea market or try stealing your neighbors pink lawn flamingo and leaving a ransom note.

You'll be giggling all night.

You are right, it is *frightfully* rude.

My pet hate is someone phones you when your busy, but your polite and talk to them. Then while on the phone to you, they turn round and start talking to some-one else in their room........ I hang up.

I ignore the call waiting as will go straight to the answering machine. I do the same thing Lon.

I hate the---"This is not a sales call,it is a survey." A survey of what--how many people want to buy your product??? But I do the same thing, put me on hold and I will hang up and go..........

I quite frankly hate the phone and all it's frills, there should be the phone and the answering maching. You phone me if you miss me you leave me a message. If phone is busy so what leave a message. If you know I am home and avoiding you so what leave a message. If you need me urgently leave an urgent message. In the end I will eventually listen to my messages and call you back. Oh but wait... I do love text messages brief and to the point whoo hooo :wah:

I am not that polite. If they call me when I am busy I jsut don't answer the phone and let the recorder do it's work.

Yup, I do the same thing. See who it is...well if it's school or hubs I answer. But then again I have a teen daughter...can't find the phone half the time anyways.:wah:

My pet hate is these automated marketing calls. It's irritating enough being called by a person. If I have time I get myself put through put the phone down on the desk so they can't disconnect and leave them hanging. Petty but at least it runs up their phone bill.

My daughter did this once only speaking Spanish. Unfortunately, the insuranceman called back and started speaking Spanish. I couldn't stop laughing. :yh_rotfl
