I think I just found it searching on something.
Actually it often annoys me somewhat that I cant just reply to a topic I am interested in at any forum / message board without having to join yet another forum to make my point.
Still, this forum seems to have "life", i.e. people are posting here regularly, and it also has plenty of subject matter to discuss.
In particular I hope to introduce some of you to music and hope I will not be hitting my head against yet another brick wall.

You will only be hitting you head against a wall(BANNED) if you self promote in any way. Keep that in mind and enjoy the GARDEN.

When you say self-promote you mean advertise?
No, I am not here to do that, I don't make any profit out of any of it. Nor am I here to try to recruit people to other sites.
I like to introduce people to music because I feel that they would like it if they heard it, but a lot of the time nobody even bothers to follow the links (to youtube) to listen. The music is not my own, however, nor do I get any profit out of people listening to it.

Stick by the rules and you will be fine.
Welcome to the garden and enjoy, yes it is full of life and there is always something to talk about. We do have a music interest section go on and post there and be patient. Not all our music lovers come on to FG every day all the time.
Cheers

I hope some people will listen and enjoy. Probably most of the younger generation though just consider me some old guy who can't take it that music has moved on.
I hate it when people hear a great new song and make comments like "that kind of thing belongs in 1996", especially that meaning that brit-pop, which represented what was great in music, has no place anymore.
Apart from music though I will be contributing all over this "garden".

Music is great I am the opposite, some old gal who can't get enough new and somewhat alternative music.

The administrator has the choice of allowing posts from guests who haven't registered. I'm sure if you look you might find forums run that way. This one isn't.

You have a point ?
Thats not really what this forum is about.
We meander aimlessly purposfully pointless.
Music is subjective. It either moves you or it doesnt.
Not to make a point or anything.

Thanks for all the replies.
I have never been on this particular forum before. I have visited many. I do play an instrument too - I play the piano and also can play keyboards. I have been trying to work out in the last few weeks what kind of midi software I can get to actually record myself playing my keyboard - the simplest device to simply record from the keyboard to a .midi file does not appear to exist, but it may be I'm going down the wrong path.
