My groceries are delivered by a large supermarket at the edge of town. I seldom get out there but this morning my daughter, bless her heart, asked if I wanted to go out there with her. Sure.

Daughter has a newer red van. We parked and she left it unlocked so I could get in if I got done before she did. I had not been in the store long before my first incident. I knocked over a display stand of toothbrushes. They couldn't stay hooked to the stand either. Toothbrushes all over the aisle.

I helped a stocker pick them up and made it through the rest of my shopping causing no more comotion.

After checking out, I wheeled my groceries out to my daughters red van, loaded them in the back and got in to wait for daughter.

A man and woman walked up to the side of the van and stood there looking at me. The window was down so I gave them a cheery "Hi". the man replied with "WTF you doin in our van"? Well, it turned out daughter's van was in the next aisle and the same make and color as this one. I explained things and the guy helped me unload my stuff. He was laughing at my red face. Said it matched the color of his van.

When we got to my building daughter asked if I remembered which apartment was mine. Smarta$$.

I spent an hour helping my Turkish friend get into her car at a shopping centre to no avail. Eventually we called her husband out to help only for him to point out that it was some-one elses car.

When i was a teenager, my dad sat outside a shop waiting for me. I got in the passenger seat and a woman came over about to explode and asked what i was doing in her car with her husband. My dad was three cars away laughing at me :o

Hubby and I were out of town one day and needed to make a few purchases at a Super Walmart. You know............in the HUGE parking lot. We parked our vehicle and went in and took care of our business. When we came out, it was pouring rain outside and, yes, we got lost in the lot and couldn't find our vehicle. For probably 20 minutes, Hubby and I were racing up and down the aisles outside in the pouring rain until we finally found our vehicle. And both of us were carrying a bag. This happened several years ago. It's funny............now. :wah:

I must admit that I have had the experience of approaching the wrong car after grocery shopping. I started to unload my groceries and the true owner came up and laughed. He said, "Thank you." I realized my mistake and was totally embarassed, but laughed with him and apologized. :o

I feel your distress hoppy.

My car problems happen when I forget which car I drove and start to stress cause I can't find the car I thought I drove.......................

I've also been known to walk up and down asles clicking the remote looking for a response from any vehicle that looks like hubby's car.
