I'm in total shock. I've just been watching a movie for 2 hours, and come back to FG to find out that Ducky, Odie and Oscar have been banned???:mad:



Can someone tell me what's happened



Odie and Ducky are my good friends and now they're gone??????

It says that the 3 of them are banned under their avatar.

Yeah. I just logged on to. I clicked on their names and it says banned.

There must have been a helluva fight while we were gone.

Its not up for open discussion the reason for the bans are private between them and MOD'S. I will tell you it is a weeks ban for all 3 of them.

Kathy, I will too. It is very sad when friends have issues that can't be resolved peacefully. Unforunately, we all have buttons that get tweeked and we often react in a not so friendly or kindy fashion. There are, at times, things that need to aired but should really be done in a pm. The best way to reasolve a difference of opinion is to go directly to the the sourse. The waitress didn't burn the steak, The cashier didn't make up the prices. Go to the sourse of the problem and get it straightened away. Just my opinion.

I love all of you. Times are rough on all of us in one way or another but personal problems should get solved one on one.

Just goes to prove my point about how we're over moderated nearly to death. What could they have possibly done in this time - after being members for so long - to get that kind of treatment?????? We cant really comment Pam as we dont really know what went on...but I have a feeling they have been warned before anyways I am thinking of leaving FG as its no fun here anymore

it is no fun kay on fg now days but i'm trying to get everyone laughing is any one else well apart from wisey ,gill and nomad ???

I find FG very good I think that the mods stepping in from time to time is a good thing ( no comment on this case) if they dont it ends up in a cat fight on a day to day basis.

A bucket of cold water often brings people to their senses.:wah:

I used to post at another forum which was just everyone shouting abuse at everyone else.

Here there are heated and passionate discussions which once in a while need toning down but it never normally results in prolonged and personal abuse which is what often happens on other sites.

I avoid those who enrage me to the point where I want to shout rude names and hope the threads I do contribute to welcome my input.

I for one like it here and plan to stay a while in the garden.

I don't know what the "tar pit" is (what/where is it?) - the "compost heap" might be a better name, though!

To find out what happened, I guess people will have to wait & ask the people involved, although it's probably true to say that answers will be disallowed, of stamped on.

You actually have it so wrong, we are not looking through threads looking for people to infract, we act on reported posts. I'd far rather people hashed it out on the threads rather than expecting the mods to deal with childish 'he did this, and this one did that, no but she said this' etc etc etc etc :rolleyes:

I'm surprised that Odie got banned. She is my friend and she's such a nice person. She was the first person who welcomed me into FG and sent me a friendship request. Even though it's only for a week, I miss Odie already. I hope she comes back. She usually posts everywhere on the boards. Such a friendly, nice person !

Really? I had thought that TS came up with site rules as an alternative to pulling the plug a few years back... maybe that was a different site and a different admin..

Its simple folks this forum has moderators like it or not. That's not going to change as TS is the owner and the boss. If this doesn't meet with your approval there are other forums you can post at. If you think you can do a better job of moderating you are welcome to join us we would enjoy the support.

To be honest i miss odie and ducky but at the same time i feel moderators are needed, ive been on other sites that could of done with them,, folk on these sites became real nasty and upset lots of folk.

A week from the site wont do anyone any harm it might actually help folk get things into prospective that this is, after all, just a site and way of making friends.

I was clueless.

So these three are the members who have been sitting in that "naughty chair" in Jimbos thread.

I happen to like all three of these folks, and I do hope they can get their issues amongst each other resolved. I'll be thinking of you all........and miss you.

I know that members are notified when they receive an infraction, but are they notified when they're banned, even for a week I just spoke with Ducky on the phone, and she didn't even know that she was banned from FG.:yh_rotfl. She's fine and packing for her trip to Ireland:-6
