doctor = liver faliure ,cancer ,brain damage and loads and loads of other horrible crap ... so its the doc :)

I hate the dentist, going Thursday for a cleaning, and Friday to have 2 teeth pulled........with a full anesthetic.

tis the only way I will have that done!:-5:-5

Sorry your suffering Chonsi but the alternative is false teeth not an option in my world. So I take the pain of the dentist and then look at my beautiful teeth and know that I will go to my grave with the thousands of dollar I have spent on them. :wah:

Doctors don't bother me at all they for the most part provide me with solutions to my health issues which at my age seem to be mounting.

The pulling is easy, out cold, its the going out that's strange.

I don't take freezing needles, as most do not work on me, so going out under general anesthetic is just sooooooo much easier for me.



Had a filling three months ago, the freezing didn't take again...........he had to keep putting more in and the pain was still there.

I am terrified of the dentist. Due to a bad first visit as a child.

However for normal fillings I dont have any pain relief I find the injection is far worse than the discomfort of the filling.

Later this year I need two crowns re-placed again because this is replacement work and I know the root canal work has been done I wont have any pain relief because there wont be any.

I still need to pee a thousand times before I leave the house to go there though!

I had about ten years, after a particularly bad experience with an injection, refusing pain relief regardless of what was being done. With a little concentration the sensation is controllable and within tolerable limits. That included root canal work. It worried the dentist a lot more than it upset me.

Wow spot, a root canal with no numbing. I finally had one, it wasn't too bad.



But if you can do go without the numbing, I think it is better for you. I am at the point when my body is not liking the novacaine. It takes too long to wear off (over 6 hours yesterday) and I don't like that. Luckily nothing is planned for the future, unless I eat more sticky candy and break another tooth. (which I am not going to do!)

If I had a hatchet buried in my knee Id probably be eager to see a doctor.

I guess what Im saying is I just dont know.

Dentist hands down... guess it means I am in good health as I have not been to the dr for anything major so my mind may have changed if I had serious illness's to deal with.

I too have had major dental issues from a young age. My first dental appointment at 8 i received 7 fillings. I have had numerous root canals, have 6 caps in my mouth so far, 2 of which are my 2 front teeth. Not to mention for years I was given a freezing that I was allergic to and it took them about 15 years to figure that out. And.... I have had a lot of "rework" done as has my family as we grew up going to probably this city's worst dentist. His reputation is horrible among the dental profession.

No this is not due to poor care of my teeth it is a hereditary issue of extremely thin enamal and over brushing has caused most of the dental problems for myself and my brother and father.

I hate the dentist hehehe
