I'd like to think that he would have reacted in the same way. It's one hell of a major omission of a huge part of your life to keep from someone you intend to spend the rest of your life with - what am I talking about, people don't get married these days with 'spending the rest of life together' in mind do they!

I think it is an issue of trust. Why wouldn't you be hurt if your "intended" kept this from you? I would like to think (and maybe this is naieve) that I knew all the things I needed to about my hubby prior to our getting married.

I would consider that a breach of trust. I would have called it off too. it isn't a tiny little issue (to me) that was overlooked. I would think that would be pretty BIG oversight.
