When should I water my lawn?

Usually late in the evening when the sun is going down. Hi Whitehorse.

I hear in the morning is the best time. Never in mid afternoon. Early evening is good too. Lawns only need about an inch of water every week. Use a rain guage if need be.

when you have a hose pipe or watering can handy ...i have watered a few lawns on the way back from the pub and not needed such apparatus though

Might as well kil 2 birds with one stone and water the lawn the same time you give water to your horse.

All the time, the more the better, I do.... I have been thinking of building a low wall around it, in fact, so that I can use it as a swimming pool as well.
