You can cook chicken in a crockpot frozen...it's delish at the end of the day. I have several recipes...will have to go find cookbook.:) No, you need to chop up the chicken and put it into the crockpot with other assorted veggies, etc.

Hello Jim,

I know that you can cook frozen chicken, but you need to know if the internal temperature is right when you take it out of oven. Sometimes, the chicken is cooked on the outside and not on the inside. That's why you have to cook it much longer when frozen.

I want to be on the safe side, so I would prefer to defrost the chicken before I cook it. Better safe than sorry I say:p

It's down to the shape and size of the pieces. Cooking a whole chicken from frozen would probably result in a sort of "chicken baked alasks", cooked on the outside, but still frozen inside. Chicken breasts will thaw and cook through in time.

When I was living in Florida I worked with a guy that was a GB Packers fan. Im a MN Vikings fan.

GB was playing MN on Monday Night Football so Sunday I bought a cooked chicken and scoured the malls for an infant Brett Farhreverer jersey. I poked the wings through the arm holes and the drumsticks through the legholes and presented it to him Monday morning.

I guess my point is its fun to dress chickens up.

i read somewhere that some usa boffins were testing on how a large bird could go through a plane windshield so they used chickens

the British boffins tried the same tests but the two results varied massively and after wasting many chickens and front plane windshields one of the Brits flew over to the states to see what was happening ,it turns out one lot were using fresh chicken the other lot frozen chickens

ever wondered just how a big bird can bring down a plane watch this ... best not too near traveling by plane though:thinking:
