i went shopping and saw this jar of curry for yes 5p ,i thought its a mistake so i asked and yes it was 5p so i brought 20 jars

it was a big supermarket probably 2nd biggest in the uk

two things here

1) how on earth can they do it for that money the jar must cost that,i have cooked some curry for dinner and its very very nice

2) anyone fancy coming round for a curry i'm rapidly going off of it ,just the thought of having to eat 20 jars of curry has put me off of it :thinking:

Cook it and freeze - then you can blast your way through the next year or so with no problem.

Sainsbury's? I didn't see them in my local or I'd be totally in tune with you by now :-)

mid-2010, the ones I bought last year were. They're all gone now, and all the pasta sauce ones at the same price. They have supermarket wars over here, the trick is to get a car full whenever it happens.

I would still be very suspicious of it at that price.

My nearest one, funnily enough, is by Canary Wharf. Never go near the place myself.

Leicester? I believe there's one in Fosse Park but that's Mad Hatter country.

Oh, that is cool. They have meat sales Saturday mornings before 9, I usually start shopping at 9. Only way to afford some cuts.

I got through six months' worth, it's fine with a spoon of garam masala and a touch more salt. It's a lot cheaper than buying onions and tomatoes and such to get a base.
