Have any members taken 'Fluoxetine' more commonly known as 'Prosaic'?

If so, could you help me by answering some questions for me?.....

1) How long did you have to take them before you noticed a change in your mood?

2) Did you have any side effects?

3) Do you believe that they helped you in any way?

4) Did they make you lethargic?

5) Did they help motivate you?

6) Did you notice any increases in your energy?

I'd be very gratefull for any responses,

Thankyou.

any anti-depressant takes 4-6 weeks before you feel its effectiveness.

Prozac side effects are minimal accept it can keep you awake at night.

It will motivate you.

when you become motivated your energy level automatically becomes higher.

best to google as everything is there.....but read what others have said, as when you google the actual drug....it always sounds better than what it really is and so many things are not listed.......as they want you to buy that drug.

there are side effects when going off any anti-depressant......some much worse than others.

in all honestly ......best thing to do.......ask your physician.

I started taking citalopram last September, which I think is in the same group as prozac. My GP prescribed it for anxiety. It took about a month or so for me to feel less anxious and, initially, I felt worse. But it has definitely helped.

Thankyou to the members who private messaged me over this. It just goes to show how caring the folk on this forum are. I will reply to the pm's and anything said is naturally confidential. It was very thoughtfull of you. :-4
