I made the plunge, I really did it.
I rented some movies from that red box that.... uhh rents movies.
It was painless and its only a buck for new releases.
I thought it was worthy of its own thread but Im having doubts about the intensity factor now.

The intensity of your thread is life changing Nomie. Thankyou so much for sharing this with me. My life will be richer and more rewarding for this knowledge. Infact, i doubt i shall sleep tonight for the excitement of wondering which movies you will rent.

I thought it had possibilities, but then I walk up to it and it has Princess Protection Program from Disney that we watched on TV earlier this month..
But it does have a few new titles.
If it was me I'd be buying the previously viewed new ones from blockbuster to stock it with..

Redbox is the bomb for me! I like to go online & reserve my movie. That way I can browse at home then go to the box and pick it up at my leisure.
It's great!

Infact, i may cancel my day out tomorrow to wait by the pc for news. :sneaky:

I can see I was wrong about the intensity factor. The responses are overwhelmingly exciting and so alive. This thread has been very successful !
To all of the red box fans out there, I rented Defiance and The Dark Matter, expect a review soon.
Acc mentioned researching his selections online....wild stuff.
Sheryl claims her box is blue, kooky !

Nomie Pomie, you will never understand the enormity of relief that i had wash over me once you had revealed your selections. I was awake all night logged on, warding off spammers awaiting your news. I scoured The papers, i even rang The Editor of The Seattle Post and he was as anxious as i was. Mr O kept telling me to go to bed but no, i could not sleep until you had posted. My day will be so much more enriched and i can't wait to go back out in the streets and tell the neighbourhood that Nomie has checked in. They will be relieved and a warm feeling of love will envelope their embittered souls.
BTW, Let me give you the run down of 'Snakes on a plane'. It's crap. Man gets on plane. There's snakes on it.

This thread should be stickied for future generations to ponder.
I believe God himself is sending me a beacon of immeasurable light from which my journey can be mapped. This thread is a compass for all of humanity to blaze a trail for new horizons, its the beginning of something powerful and extraordinary.

In the brief interlude of posting, i ran joyousley into the streets to share the news. The neighbourhood burst into spontaneous Falicitations. Cheering and clapping drowned out the pitiful cries of stray dogs and small children looked on, their eyes wide in excitement and awe. It was truely momentuous and i wish you, the author could have been here to share the pride.

The Red Box failed me today. It started raining after I made my selections and checked out. I dashed back to my car to shut my window and as I was returning I saw my selection being sucked back in.
Im pretty sour on it now.
This after last week unjamming a stuck DVD, prying it loose and returning it to the machine.
This is the thanks I get.

It cares for you, bro. It didn't want some slick teenager on a skateboard swooshing by and stealing your disc. If you call the company at 1.866.733.2693 (1.866.REDBOX3) they'll hook you up. They're really easy to deal with.

Well if they care for me then perhaps the box and I can settle our differences.
