My mum and dad were born at the end of the war and said that the 60's were fantastic, apparently my mum was a beat nick (i think thats what you call it?) and watched the beatles live twice.

I was also born in the 60's & watched the rolling stones 8 times...live in Philly. The 80's were great...the time when I was really growing up.

1865. Would have lived in the time of the old West and most likely got my head shot off.
1910. Would have lived through the roaring '20's and most likely got my head shot off, had I survived WW1.

I like my time- overall. I like all the new stuff that's come about in my lifetime. I got the Beatles and Elvis and MJ and some truly awesome books and movies.. not so much on the artwork produced by some though..
I am kinda curious about what it would be like 50 years into the future. Might be nice to get a peek at that..

Unfortunately, if you had been, you would probably have already died and missed out on the last few years of excitement.

Me too and me too.
I would have liked to live in medieval times or the 1800s in London or the 1950s in the US or to have been born in the 1990s to have the internet to use for homework research.

You should read Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella. I wasn't a fan of the twenties until I read this book. :-6

It's only been out a month so WHSmith and Waterstones are still hyping it. It's a really good story, kind of a whodunnit plus a romance plus a comedy and one of the two main characters is a charleston-dancing ghost! :wah: I LOVE Sophie Kinsella novels and this is her best yet imo. I read it 4 times in 4 days.
Twenties Girl
(2009)
A novel by
Sophie Kinsella
Synopsis:
Lara has always had an overactive imagination. Now she wonders if she is losing her mind. Normal twenty-something girls just don't get visited by ghosts! But inexplicably, the spirit of Lara's great aunt Sadie - in the form of a bold, demanding Charleston-dancing girl - has appeared to make one last request: Lara must track down a missing necklace Sadie simply can't rest without. Lara's got enough problems of her own. Her start-up company is floundering, her best friend and business partner has run off to Goa, and she's just been dumped by the love of her life. But as Lara spends time with Sadie, life becomes more glamorous and their treasure hunt turns into something intriguing and romantic. Could Sadie's ghost be the answer to Lara's problems and can two girls from different times end up learning something special from each other?

Cavemen had a certain charismatic style, a sassy splash I admire.
