on Windows VISTA!!! ??

I worked most the day today installing our new puter! As I heard & read about, "Windows VISTA" stinks!!! However, it was the only operating system available at this time I was told. Anyway, It is "incompatable" with my printer/scanner software, AOL software, Camera software, games, etc.

Is there really anything it is compatable with? :-5

Not much hate to tell you. You should go to the site of the camera, printer etc and download the compatible "Drivers" for VISTA most products have current software and driver for most older equipment. If your camera, printer are very old you may be out of luck but try anyway. :-6 Plus everytime you install something is asks you if it is OK to install or allow or this or that, drives you insane.

Only the wallets of Bill Gates and Microsoft! :wah: :wah: :-5

I noticed today that they're starting to reintroduce puters to the shops with XP loaded on them! Yay! I liked XP.

We're waiting for the new Windows operating system to be introduced in early 2010. :)

It's like Carla says. All you can do is go to the various sites for your particular equipment, and download the drivers for Vista. It's a pain, but the only way round it I think....I'll stick with XP on my pc and laptop.

You should have gotten a free upgrade to windows 7 if you just bought this machine. It's available in just a few weeks.

I've only bought one vista machine on purpose and that was to play with. I gave it to an admin assistant who hates anything more modern then a typewriter... :p

But everything I've bought has still had xppro. It helps to buy bulk:D

My friends husband has Vista..she hates it. Her computer has windows thankfully and now has it conected to the internet as she can't stand his anymore.

When my computer had a virus attack, I spent almost as much having it fixed as it would have gettting a new one. Trouble was, only systems available was vista and I refused to buy one.

I wish you luck getting your demons under control.

Uninstalled Vista and put in XP
