What do you do to stay cool in the heat? It is hot here on the East Coast!:-6

Yup did all my cleaning this morning too...although I do my laundry at night...it is so stinking hot & humid...cloudy & sunny up here so I'm hoping we get a nice t-storm later today. I'm sitting at my kitchen table in the c/a....so nice:-6

I pull down the shades, max out the AC and keep lots of barley pop cooled to near freezing.

I try not to go outside until after 7:30 pm. By then it's "just fixing" to cool off, maybe dropping down to 95-105 by 10 pm.

I have my front windows (west side) foiled which may look hillbilly but cuts the heat drastically.

Air conditioning on way too much. ($247 electric bill last month)

Cool clothes, often slumming around in my lounge pajamas all day

Cold showers.

Avoid running oven and stove when possible.

Let's all go visit AussiePam in wintry Australia.

I have the workmen here all day and they had to turn off air con:-1



So, I'm about to pass out but don't want to leave them alone here as they need to ask me questions..



To keep cool, I usually keep the air con and fans on or go to the beach if it's not too crowded.

There are only three opps, four things I need to survive. The internet, my phone, my friends and of course food. :yh_rotfl

did my usual things, went to the supermarket, vacuumed out my car, came inside and put on the a/c....whew!:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

Yes today was the hottest day of the season here as well! A/C house, into A/C car, into A/C mall, into A/C restaurant, then reverse, not so bad!:wah:

Did the dishes this morning...loaded into the dishwasher & washing. Have some laundry to do & get hubs ready for another hot day...at least he's working in a/c today at a hospital.
