The weekend was wonderful. I worked like a crazy woman in the yard and bought a new wheelbarrow. What? My wheelbarrow doesn't excite you? It certainly excited me.
I also planted some new bushes and laid more brick out front. Our new house is really coming together. There is no better time than spring!!! :-6 :-6

I would have to be xxx rated then my dear

<--- Me winking devilishly
Ok I spent most of my time with the BF. Very nice quality time because the daughter was at her fathers wedding.
We took the dogs for a nice walk in the park, we lounged about, I helped him paint his bathroom, we watched a couple flicks and he cooked for me all weekend.
There was that good hehehehe

I had a good weekend. "Pig Fest" here in Lansing....3 day biker party where we take over a hotel and get crazy all weekend. They keep the pool open 24/7 for us, 3 different bands, dinner Saturday night, and motorcycles everywhere. Wow. What a blast!

Since I'm on maternity leave, not much changes from weekdays to weekends: Take care of the baby, take care of the house, play online. :p
But, hubby bought himself a riding lawn mower Sunday and mowed the yard in record time. He's been wanting one for awhile so I'm glad he got it.
I did go see my grandmother and aunt with the baby on Saturday. They "ohhh" and "awww"ed her to death. She put on quite the show too....all smiles and coo's.

Yay -- good idea Hotsauce.. (you're full of them lately, aren't you..you lil' stinker! :p )
I'd love to share my weekend re-cap with you guys each week! Our summer weekends are usually busy with something or another!
This weekend:
WEATHER -- Fabulous!! Felt like summer all weekend long... sunny and in the 70's! :-6 Woo-hooo!
FRIDAY -- My daughter didn't have school.. but we had to take my son to the doctor. He was running 103.5 degree fever since the nite before. Turns out he has a bad ear infection and his lymph nodes in the back of his head are badly infected too. After that - we all bummed around the house for most of the day. Then I went outside with the kids and watched Madelyn (daughter) play hopscotch and ride her bike.. and watched Ben (son) try to chase after his big sister. When John (hubby) came home we all went for pizza!
SATURDAY -- I did some cleaning around the house.. then took the kids out to play. John went over to his parent's house to work on his car (they have a garage - we don't) for awhile. Then we all went to a local State Park and let the kids play in the playground there. We didn't stay too long cuz Ben was looking like he felt yucky again... and he felt really warm. We stopped back to visit my in-laws for awhile tho... then it was home to bed.
SUNDAY -- This was a fun day! We went to HersheyPark (in Hershey, PA) for the day. It's only about 2 hrs from here... so it's a nice little daytrip to take. Every Spring, and again in the Fall, they open the park for a special weekend of free admission... pay as you go... kinda deal. That is a great opportunity to take advantage of cuz otherwise you pay an arm and a leg.. and maybe even your head.. for admission to get into the place! LOL For $19 we got Madelyn a ride-all-day wrist band and she had a blast! We got our money's worth 10 times over! John and I rode a couple rides with the kids... and Ben got to ride his first amusement park rides with his big sister... (he rode 4 different ones) and he seemed to enjoy it!
After the Park... we went for something to eat at this Brewing Company -- good food.. neat place! Then we came home and all went right to bed! (ZZZZZZZzzzzz!)
And that was our weekend...

I worked as a volunteer at a fundraising event for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) on Saturday night. My baby was diagnosed at age 10 months...she is now 2, and has to take 2-3 insulin shots a day for the rest of her life. Felt good to volunteer as it "blew off" some steam!

Same here -- I love my in-laws too. In fact.. my mother-in-law is more like a mother to me than my own!!! Imagine that!? (hee-hee)
We are some lucky ones to have found that rarity -- nice and loving in-laws we actually don't mind being around!!

LOL
Yay for us!!

Good for you robinsegg!! It is wonderful a thing to volunteer your time and efforts to such events!
Sorry to hear about your daughter... that has got to be tough! I had gestational diabetes BAD while pregnant with my second (my son)... had to test 5 times a day and give myself 2 insulin shots a day as well. It was HORRIBLE!!! Diabetes runs rampid in my family.. so I'm sure I'll end up with it someday.. but I pray not!! I can't imagine having to go thru that as a child.. going thru about 6 months of it as an adult almost drove me insane!! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!! I'm glad you were able to help out others in your situation... and I'm glad it gave you a bit of 'peace' as well!!

Thanks Ladybug! I appreciate your kind support....I am selling those orange bracelets to raise $ for JDRF and somebody made a rude comment at the gym this morning! UGH!
Wow, I can't imagine being pregnant and having insulin dependent diabetes! That must have been really hard....(gone thru 4 pregnancies myself!) I remember with 2 of those, I was addicted to chocolate milk! With cravings, you almost have to have it or you get sick!!!
To stay on task with the thread, I will add what we did yesterday....went shopping for bunkbeds with our 5 yr boy and 2 yr old girl....WOW! Do kids love furniture stores or WHAT???~!!!!!!!

Me and hubby took our niece shopping for the day. She's 10 mths old and attracts quite a crowd when she starts gurgling and shouting "Dada Dada" to everyone who passes. We bought her a ball pool for her 1st birthday coming up (8th June) and a pink fairy outfit with wings attached. Can't wait to dress her in that when she's a bit older!

Birthday weekend...
Hub took me out to dinner...we went to the drive-in (hadn't been there in ages...so much fun). We went shoe shopping and he bought me a new pair of sneakers...the best sneakers that have ever touched my feet...I wanted to wear them to sleep last night. We laughed...we rode go-karts...we looked at flowers...we enjoyed the spring. It was the best birthday ever!

Fun for me this weekend was going to a nursery. I bought cholea (sp?), a curly wurly, fiber optic grass and an angel trumpet. Oh yea, and a purple leafy something-or-other. Poor plants, I hope they have a chance here LOL
