A question for Oscar. :sneaky:
Oscar, when you joined FG a little over a year ago you told us how much you adored Gordon Brown. You made up poems about him in your siggy and obviously thought he was the bees knees.
Now, a little over a year later, I notice you are blaming New Labour for the current state of play, in education and in other areas. I also believe I read that you will be standing as a Tory candidate in your constituency's next bi-election?
Now I'm really not up on government policies and legislation, particularly where they don't affect me. Tbh, I find it all very dry and dull, yet I admire you immensely in that you can talk in Government-speak and understand all the current issues of the day.
So my question to you is: what happened to change your mind?
Where did Gordon Brown lose his golden halo and what made you decide to back Cameron?
Please don't take this as a dig at you or either party, as I said before, the majority of Government-speak goes straight over my blonde head!
I'm just curious as to why you've changed from being such an avid supporter of Gordie to standing for the Tories?
Please answer in easy layman-speak terms, huh? :-3

I stopped with threads on his Lovliness because I did feel that other members were getting a tad fed up with It. :wah:
Gosh I must think this through first :wah:

OK... First of all...... Yes I am nominated as the candidate for my constituancy in the General Election ( I won't win) but I would not vote for Cameron let alone stand for his Conservative Party.
I believe that GB Inherited a nighmare from Blair and I believed that in time he could undo the damage done. I still have no qualms with GB, it is the useless numpty's that he has surrounded himself with in the Cabinet. Such as Blears, Harman, Smith etc. I have said on other threads months ago that he needed to clear the Cabinet and get rid of the lot of them before his last credibility went down the toilet.
Since Bailout, I have been looking at the economy and although he still has his doubters, and without boring you to death, the economy is on the up as he predicted it would be with the massive fiscal injection at the time of bailout. In that respect, he has done what he said he would do. However, the 'Nanny state' of New Labour continue's and it's due to the nanny pc laws and some human rights laws and some of the rulings from Brussels that give us the highest teenage pregnancy rates in Europe, the biggest rise in youth crime for years, the softest courts and penal system in Europe etc etc. I don't see any of that getting better under Labour. It needs massive reform to bring this country back to the standards that we used to have. The Conservative party has nothing to offer other than cutbacks.
Then, when it came to the European elections, there was not one party who would address the mass Immigration issue frankly and openly except the BNP. OK UKIP did, but in a very weak washy way to avoid the label of rascist. Yet, mass Immigration and lack of work is one of the key worries for many and why the BNP did win over a million votes.
My opinion is that this country is in the worst climes it has ever been for decades and the 2 main Parties are too pc to radically change anything.

You certainly will not win unless you have spock supporting your candidacy. Do you?
If not win him over or drop out.

Spocks influence is essential for you to succeed in your campaign. In fact he should be your campaign manager.
