"Dollar General robbed

by David Avery

Staff Writer (Tattnall News)

Approximately 8:45 p.m. just prior to closing time on Saturday, September 5, two males armed with weapons entered the Dollar General Store at 216 Brazell Street in Reidsville. They escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash. At the time of the robbery, there were two clerks at the store and as many as eight customers present. According to Reidsville Police Investigator Stacey Wildes there was no one hurt but one employee was examined by EMS. At the time of this printing no information was available from Dollar General. "

In the case above, one of the clerks is my Hubbys 19 year old grandson. He was the one "examined by EMS". He is okay now.

A crime can happen anywhere, any time. Any one of us can be a victim.

Let's be careful out there.

Thank goodness the grandson is OK :-4:-4

That must have been a horrible thing to go through.

I think we get a bit laid back about things like that happening thinking it won't happen to you .It is getting worse here as well.

We even have to lock our homes up now:-1:-5

And in another small town:

Man guilty of murdering boy in Ga. trailer park

Reported by: Associated Press

Last Update: 5:29 pm

BRUNSWICK, Ga. (AP) - A jury has convicted a Georgia man of murder and child molestation in the death of a 6-year-old boy whose body was later found wrapped in trash bags and dumped near a road.

A jury in coastal Brunswick took about two hours to convict 61-year-old David Edenfield in the March 2007 sexual assault and choking death of young Christopher Michael Barrios.

The jury now must decide whether to sentence Edenfield to death or life in prison.

Edenfield is the first of three suspects to stand trial for the boy's slaying. His wife and grown son have also been charged in the crime.

Prosecutors said Edenfield "convicted himself" in a taped confession to police. Defense attorneys said police may have led Edenfield to make a false confession.

Lon had asked in another Thread:

"For those that believe in Angels, they must also believe in Demons (fallen angels?) Have you been influenced by Demons or seen one? Are Demons real?"

My answer is yes. They walk among us sometimes as our neighbors.

It's amazing just how much evil there is in this world. It is all very well having laws, but laws alone do not protect our children. Some people my not appreciate why I become angry about not being allowed to see my child. But I am her only protector.
