We have all said and written in haste and I do agree the personal content on another member was inappropriate. However, She posted on a thread that was touching a nerve with many people on that day. ( 9/11 ) Her country was being attacked on that thread and on the anniversary of 9/11.

Please re-consider.

She didn't receive an infraction. This was a PERMANENT ban. It's like capital punishment, like a bullet in the forehead, it's permanent. This was a first time offense from a young women who is barely an adult, who reacted emotionally to a thread that was solely posted to incite such a response. Btw, her reply (the inoffensive portion) essentially closed the thread and left nothing else to debate.

I'm not at all surprised she's been banned. It was inevitable really. She appears to be intelligent, sparky, educated, interesting... but of course I did note that she has been guilty of lèse-majesté!!!! Now all that has magically been neatly sanitised away, just like it never was.. And - her head is forfeit.

Well, whoever she was, I enjoyed her posts. I didn’t see the one that got her banned so I cannot comment, but if it was the 911 thread that I replied to saying that I thought it the entire thread was inappropriate then I could see how someone would have lost the plot as the thread was asking for trouble to begin with.

we seldom agree on much acc but i still like you and think you are a kind decent man

people come onto fg to make friends and some spend money to join here and invest many hundreds of hours investing in friendhips here ,i have spoken to Gman for years ,its upsetting that he has left ,i liked the guy,i dont know if evil devil or whatever who was gona kick out 8 ways of krap outa me :Dwas his partner,but surely when a good member leaves and us the people who read the adds and banners on fg even if we dont pay for memebership the addds pay to keep the site,we should be able to get a reason its not a matter of national security is it :-3:-3

I am not mod bashing any of the mods, infact, a few have been very good to me and I respect it is a difficult unpaid labour of love to FG.

I just feel that in this case, a permanent ban was too severe for the ladies first offence and an infraction and warning would have resolved the matter.

Again, I do believe that she said what she said because she saw her country being attacked on the anniversary of 9/11 of all days. I also strongly objected to the thread and felt it was appalling timing and un-nessessary to our US members.

Could the mods have a debate on this and re-consider please? She is a young girl and that should be taken into account.
