Unfortunately, he blundered all during his Presidency, & now he still continues to blunder! :-5

It seems that Obama isn't interested in letting anyone play the race card. I think he would rather just have folks hate his stand on on an issue.

It was a dumb thing for Carter to say even though racism is a fact from some of the opposition to Obama and his agenda. It's just not Politically correct to act like a racist these days. You have to mask your racism. I'm sure that Obama wishes that Carter had kept his mouth shut.

I guess we'll never be sure, Floppy, if the President of the United States of America would have been hated quite so vehemently by his more extreme right wing detractors if he'd been white.

I'm absolutely certain he wouldn't be. But it's not the extreme right wing that concerns me because they are too blindly prejudiced and comparatively few in number; it's the much bigger bloc of rightwingers who aren't quite the extreme.
It was and is noticeable that a good many posters here have not had a good word to say about Obama since before he was elected and have become downright vitriolic since. I don't know if this is standard US party politics or not, particularly when I think of, say, gmc's reaction to Gordon Brown. Did Clinton get the same level of abuse? Carter?
I suppose if we calibrate our abuse-o-meter to account for the differing political situations and decades and having taken them into account we find that Obama is receiving more abuse than Carter and Clinton, then we could say it looks as though race is playing a part in this. But it would take someone a lot better acquainted with US politics than me to do it...

Bush was certainly hated and he was white. Bush's wife and daughters were regularly attacked by the media, but it's hands off the big O's family? BS to that.

First of all, I thought 'Peanut Man' was dead.
Second... when-ever the race card is raised with Obama, it amazes me that no-one seems to remember that he is half white and not black.
I find it pretty pathetic that 'Joe Wilson' can't speak his mind without being branded a rascist. I wonder If peanut Man would have played the same stunt had it been McCain elected?

Left wing diversion tactics - they can't win the argument so start with the accusations.
Definition of a racist: someone on the winning end of an argument with a Liberal

Facts?? Well how about some of my relatives? There is a a relatively small group of people that oppose Obama and his administration that are racists and to deny that is nativity.
