Oh Boy---------Now we have another Politically Correct saying. The recent murder of a Yale University grad student resulted in a man being questioned by the police and referred to as "A PERSON OF INTEREST", not a SUSPECT mind you, but a "PERSON OF INTEREST". Who is responsible for this new PC crap? Journalism schools? The Press? Some hot shot Journalist or Reporter?

The police, surely.
Getting him photographed by the press on the way out from the arrest is just their way of unnerving him.
A Person Of Interest is someone they'd like to eliminate from their inquiry.

You are prpbably right about the police--------I hadn't thought that they might be the ones to use the new term. I didn't think they were that sensitive.

I actually like this one. Might be a liability issue. The label still pins him down but its more generic than saying suspect.
