I never watch the X factor. I think it is a wonderful opportunity for those gifted but what puts me off is the rancid put downs of young people. Some of these kids truelly believe they are the next Britney etc and their families make it worse by not being honest with them. They go on X factor and meet the reality that they haven't a hope in hell. Some of these kids reactions at this have upset me in the past where they have been almost ridiculed.

how about that kid with the ankle surveillance thingy on him? needs a bit of a slap in the head, but was a great singer. I say his attitude will bring him down.

On last night’s X Factor show, we saw girl group Tru Colourz make it to the final 24 acts.

Christina, Rachel and Ivette wowed the judges with their kooky look and alternative vocal style, however they were later sent home and replaced because not all the girls had reached the 16 years age limit.

A source said: “They’re devastated. Louis has the agonising task of telling the girls they can’t continue this year but he softens the blow by suggesting they can try again next year when they are old enough.”

The girls sudden departure means a second chance for four piece vocal group, Harmony Hood.

IT'S ALL FACTORED DOWN TO A DOZEN

These are the final 12 X Factor acts who will battle it out for the crown.

Simon Cowell is pinning his hopes on the bookies' favourite Danyl Johnson, 27, but faces tough competition from Dannii Minogue's girl Lucie Jones, 18. After confirming the final 12, judge Dannii, who has drafted in her sister Kylie this year for some extra expert help, said: "This year is so exciting. Simon is already getting ready to win before the live shows have even begun, but Kylie and I have put together the star team. I'm confident I have the pick to go all the way."

Joseph McElderry

Nicknamed the South Shields Stud, he walked out of X Factor boot camp two years ago.

ODDS 9/1

Olly Murs

Cocky. Likens himself to Justin Timberlake but is actually an energy advisor from Essex.

ODDS 11/2

Jamie Archer

His afro puts the Jackson Five in the shade and could put him head and shoulders above the pack.

ODDS 11/2

Lloyd Daniels

The Welsh wonder whose boyish good looks make him a firm favourite with teenage fans.

ODDS 16/1

Stacey Soloman

Likeable Essex mum Stacey has taken boot camp by storm with her soulful voice and endless legs.

ODDS 4/1

Rachel Adedeji

Singing since she was two, Londoner Rachel has the backing of last year's winner Alexandra Burke.

ODDS 18/1

Rikki Loney

The cheeky chap with a cloth cap is Scotland's equivalent of Norman Wisdom.

ODDS 25/1

John & Edward

Will be better known as the Brothers Grim by the end. Rank outsiders, quite literally.

ODDS 40/1

Miss F.R.A.N.K

Touted as the new Sugababes but may leave a sour taste. More like Miss F.R.A.N.K.E.N.S.T.E.I.N.

ODDS 20/1

Kandy Rain.

Helped rename the show XXX Factor after band member Coco Lloyd's porn past was revealed.

ODDS 33/1

Danyl Johnson

Teacher Danyl hopes to sing, his way to success with his crooning. His incredible first audition means he's already the bookies' favourite to lift the top prize.

ODDS 3/1

Lucie Jones

One of the red-hot favourites. Welsh warbler Lucie wowed the judges with her version of I Will Always Love You and she could mean the girls scoop a third win in a row.

ODDS 7/2

I think Stacey and Lucie are amazing! I liek Miss Frank the best out of the groups, and i like joseph from South Shield. All of the over 25's were so good, I know it must ahve been a nightmare to pick 3 but i thought he might have put one fo the women through. I dont know what Louis is thinking of to be honest! :yh_rotfl
