Sears is a large distribution company carrying anything from candles, kids clothes up to power tools and more.
We have stores here Canada wide. We also have catalogs delivered to those who use them.
-(just like a huge department store).
excluding cheapy ones, Wal-Mart, Zellers etc.

Odie,
I do like Sears products. Unfortunately their auto dept is gone from our nearby store. But, I do buy all of my tools, Christmas decorations, lawn furniture, pj's and household products there. I even have my taxes done there with H&R Block:wah:

I seldom shop at the Sears stores, I just find them sooooooo expensive for me.
so glad you hear you love it there so much.:guitarist:guitarist
years ago, downtown Toronto had 10 different display windows made up for Christmas right at a Sears store.....oh Kathy, everything in them moved, trains, dolls, lights sparkled, there were a few done up in kids fairy tales...
everyone from around everywhere just had to see these windows......mom and I used to do our Christmas shopping at Sears, so we would shop untill we dropped, had dinner in their cafeteria and watched the window displays come alive at night when it was dark....
oh how I miss those days with my mom.

Those were good auld days Odie, weren't they?
My Mom and I would catch the bus into NY or the path trains during Christmas time and look at all the beautiful displays in Macy's windows. Now you can't get near the windows as it's so crowded:-1
We'd go ice skating at Rockerfella Center and have dinner at a nice restaurant.
I haven't been to Manhattan in so long. I only live 70 miles south of the city so there's no reason not to go in more. I'm going to start doing that as soon as school settles down a bit.
I once made it a point to visit every museum in Manhattan every Saturday. That was fun:D

Unfortunately, it's not worth going into NY during Christmas. everything is jammed packed...you can't get a reservation for a hotel, ice skating or even look at the windows....
