I think this news has done more harm to Halderman (the blackmailer) then it did to Letterman. Letterman's ratings are up 38%.
Halderman plead not guilty after trying to deposit the bogus 2 million dollar check Thursday. Reports state that Halderman was desperate and deep in debt. His spousal and child support were consuming his own income plus his lavish lifestyle.
