...is the location of one of GB's great wildlife shows.
It's on the Wash. Last figure I heard was 400,000 winter migrants. When the tide ccomes in over the mudflats tens of thousands of birds take off and do the "our flock is one mind" thing.
In December I'm going to see it.
Anyone else interested?

Please do. I have all the bird watching gear as well. It will be great to enjoy with a true bird watcher and lover. Peter would love to go but I fear will not be able to travel.

Either or both of you would be very welcome. You know of course that any day we choose to go it may not happen.
But I'm going.:-6

There are a lot of geese at Snettisham - MUCH bigger than pigeons!
And beware of the American Stealth Ruddy Duck: No-one knows it's there and then suddenly...SPLAT!

Looks not too bad, but I don't have to go that far.
I'm about 10 minutes from the Vane Farm, and half an hour from the Eden estuary.....
You should be jealous (and I know you are).

Poor Clod. Alone with you. In the wilderness. Him looking up at the geese. I'm thinking of popping along to be Clod's bodyguard

Having read the thread about shaking her booty in thigh length leather, I imagine she'd be quite an interesting sight on a Norfolk mudflat in December...
I'm supposed to be looking at geese now. Got up early and all - only to be told the timings had changed.
However mate has arrived as I'm typing this!
