Over 4 years ago, I lost a Victorian gold and Rose Quartz ring I Inherited from my Maternal Grandmother. It was totally unique and I was absolutely heartbroken. I have never told any of my family that It was lost because they would have been annoyed with me for being so careless.

We searched everywhere and I checked every handbag, drawer, under the bed etc etc. A year ago we had building work done and cleared every drawer and every shelf in every room but there was still no sign of It. Over the years, I came to believe that the only explanation was that It had dropped to the floor and I had vacuumed It up. For the past 2 or so years, I didn't even think about It.

I phoned my nephew, Henry when I got home today to wish him happy 6th Birthday. We chatted for a while about how he liked school etc and out of the blue, he said, 'Your ring is in your boots'. I didn't have a clue what he was talking about so questioned him as to what he meant. He said 'Your ring... It's in one of your boots'.

After saying goodbye I went and checked two old pairs of boots I haven't worn for 4 years and were in the dogs room, only to find this ring.

Now, I'm freaked out...... seriousley freaked out. Henry has not been in my house since he was a toddler !!!!:thinking: OMG... Just how is this even remotely possible??? I don't believe In this kind of stuff.... but he wouldn't have even known I had old pairs of boots.... this is just too weird... Him nor any of my family knew I had lost it.

It's funny because when he was around 4 years old, he was the spit Image of that kid in the film 'The Omen'. I used to call him 'Damian', :(

My flabber has never been so ghasted. I can see now how it got in the boot because I would have taken the boots off beside my bed and put my rings on the bedside table.

I really just can not get my head round this. I asked him what made him think of that and he said he didn't know.

I'm phoning him in the morning for the lottery numbers :sneaky:

I am so thrilled to have It back. It's back on my finger and It's staying there.

I've been trying to work It out and all I can think of, is can young kids tune into things that we can't?

There is more about human beings than anyone can ever know.

I absolutely LOVE this kind of stuff!

Congrats on finding your ring! Hurrah for Henry!

He is a very gifted child anyway. He can play the piano, etc etc but this is just way beyond my reasoning.

The more I think about this.... Yesterday, i wasn't thinking about the ring but I was thinking of clearing those old boots and shoes from the dogs room.:thinking:

Maybe he has been around before? Or else incredibly sensitive about things like that? I think it is great!

Perhaps Henry put the ring in the boot when he visited four years ago. A six year old's quite capable of remembering things he did at that age. When you have eliminated all which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.

A psychologist told me years ago that young children are very receptive to ESP. She wanted to put my oldest daughter, 3 yrs. old at the time, into a program which tested for paranormal abilities because she had observed that my daughter seemed to be intuitive. I decided against it then but now I kinda wished that I'd gone along with it.

You know Mr. Spot, I was just about to suggest that the two year old Henry may have found the ring somewhere on the floor and dropped it in the boot, then out of the blue he saw in his mind's eye his action of 4 years ago! Maybe Oscar sent thought waves through to Henry about her clearing out the boots and this may have triggered his memory! Very thought provoking in any case ;)

I did think of that scenario also Spot, however, we never allow young children into our bedroom and he certainly never has been in my bedroom.

I always wore the ring every day and the only place It would ever be was on my bedside table. It's a chunky ring and I always removed it before turning the light off. When any of the children visit, our bedroom door stays shut ( Due to Mr O's medication etc in there). The last time Henry was here, he was just two years old and would never have reached the door-handle, let alone manage to open It without supervision. We have never let young children roam un-supervised. Then I wonder... If you are correct... would he be able to remember something he did at the age of two years old? After four years, surely he would have long forgotton It?

We have discussed every possible scenario today and we are just baffled.

He didn't know why he said It or what made him think of it.... he's just happy he's found Great Ma-Ma's ring.

Anyone else got any suggestions?:confused:

I phoned him back to grill him but Dominic his friend had arrived for tea :rolleyes:

I'm ringing in the morning again and I'll get the Lottery numbers while he's on the phone.

Right.... Young Henry has been tied to a chair and Interogated for 9 hours with no Iced biscuits until he coughed up the Imfo. A further bribe of him not getting his train set for 10 years also helped.

He doesn't remember the last time he was at my house as he was two years old. He doesn't know why he thought of the ring and didn't even know I had boots.

The puzzle continue's. :-2:-2
