A disturbing study by Consumer Reports revealed the presence of the chemical Bisphenol A (BPA) in nearly all of the name-brand canned foods recently tested in their labs, including some that were labeled "BPA-free" and others labeled "organic."

Thanks for the tip off Jazzy. I never ever use any soup other than home made for these exact reasons. There was a Kerfuffle here not long ago where It seemed some food claiming to be Organic, were infact not.

The food might well be BPA free - it the canning that's likely to have added it :-

If it doesnt have BPA in it Ive got no use for it.
